Hello!

Thank you for attending the Power of Place Summit on Tuesday, May 26. More than 100 residents, educators, nonprofit leaders, funders, and public officials came together in Marin City to reflect on the progress we've made together as a countywide partnership, the challenges that remain, and what it will take to create greater opportunity for children and families across Marin.

A Few Highlights from the Partnership Summit

  • We began the morning by honoring Marin City’s history and the generations of resilience, leadership, and community that continue to shape its future.
  • National leaders shared how place-based partnerships across the country are helping improve outcomes and expand pathways to economic mobility. This model works and the evidence is only growing.
  • Canal Promise Neighborhood partners reflected on their first year of planning and how residents have a seat at the table to shape solutions that matter most to their community.
  • Community partners publicly launched the Marin City Promise Neighborhood planning process, marking an important step toward building a shared vision for children and families in Marin City.
  • We also looked ahead to how this work will continue to grow in Novato and West Marin.

The challenges facing our communities are complex, but the summit was a reminder that none of us are tackling them alone. The momentum across the Canal, Marin City, Novato, and West Marin is real, and it exists because of people like you who continue to show up, build relationships, and work alongside one another in service of children and families.

Thank you for being part of this growing movement.
