As we approach a new year and welcome a fresh start, let’s look at the terrific things we achieved together.
The year 2022 is coming to a close, and while this year certainly kept us on our toes, it was full of growth and opportunities.
WeLoveU’s Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah has always set an example of asking, “Where can I help?” and that has been the groundwork for the activities you’ll read about below.

The National Blood Drive Campaign, Healthy Habits Webinars & More!
The WeLoveU Foundation put out a call to action to address the need for blood in Los Angeles and Chicago earlier in the year, and you responded. Blood drives were held to support the local hospitals and blood centers in those cities. In total, about 820 pints of blood were collected, which can save up to 2,460 lives.
Thank you for providing an essential healthcare service by donating your blood, time, and energy. We couldn't have done it without you!

In March and April 2022, WeLoveU aired two Healthy Habits webinars in partnership with Compel Fitness. Viewers learned the importance of accountability, goals, supplements, food shopping tips, and keeping things simple. There was also a 31-day challenge for those watching at home to participate in, and the calendar is available on our website, along with the webinars that you can watch anytime.

Packs on Backs & WeLo's Winter Weather Clothing Drive
Annually, the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation helps under-resourced communities with new backpacks, school supplies, coats, and winter gear. In 2022, we supported thousands of students in 14 schools in seven states!
New York City Mayor Eric Adams presented WeLoveU with a Citation for supporting the youth. Also, Brooklyn Borough President Anthony Reynoso declared September 2, 2022, as International WeLoveU Foundation Celebration Day because WeLoveU donated more than 350 backpacks to Achievement First Crown Heights Middle School.
Thank you to all our partners, corporate sponsors, and volunteers who make giving back to young scholars possible.

Environmental Cleanups, Webinars & Challenges
In 2022, volunteers of the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation did a fantastic job cleaning up their communities. Together, we organized more than 30 cleanups. Environmental cleanups benefited streets, parks, and beaches, and volunteers planted about 730 trees. Power Home Remodeling, Amazon, HDR, Inc., and many other partners helped make this year's environmental campaign a success.
We also took our environmental protection efforts up a notch by curating monthly Clean Action challenges to help reduce our warming planet's temperature by teaching you sustainable habits. The challenge for June 2022 was to practice plastic upcycling. What better way to teach you about upcycling than by hosting a webinar? Deniz Sagdic, a sustainable artist from Istanbul, Turkey, joined us and explained how she brings global awareness to excessive consumption and waste problems through her upcycled artwork.
Although the year is coming to a close, you can still take meaningful steps in the name of climate protection in 2023. Visit our Clean Action campaign webpage and find a challenge to practice with friends and family.
