Thank You for Sharing the Spirit of the Season

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the Holly Springs Food Cupboard's Thanksgiving box food distribution. A record 550 boxes, lovingly donated by businesses and individuals across our community, were packed with everything needed to create an amazing holiday meal. Plus, frozen turkeys were generously provided by the amazing agents at Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston.

Thank you so much to every volunteer, donor, business partner, and supporter who made this massive effort possible. You are the heart, the muscle, and the magic behind what we do.

Battle of the Elementary Schools

A huge thank-you to Holly Ridge Elementary School and Oakview Elementary School for turning a friendly competition into community impact! Together, the schools collected an incredible 2,959 pounds of food donations for the Holly Springs Food Cupboard! While Holly Ridge took home the title for the highest item count, Oakview definitely won for the cutest helper!

Story Behind the Scenes

Many thanks to Robert Horvick, who spent a Monday morning at the Cupboard. View his beautiful photos and thoughtful blog post as part of his HS150 website photography project in celebration of the town's upcoming 150th anniversary.

Thank you, Astrowatt Electric!

Many thanks to Astrowatt Electric for keeping the lights on... literally! When the Cupboard noticed an electrical short in the garden last month, their team provided a lightning-fast response, replacing the outlet and breaker all in the same day. We appreciate their support for keeping the Cupboard shining bright and safe!

Happy Birthday, Mary!

Volunteers took a pause during a weekly distribution to celebrate one of the Cupboard's longtime volunteers - Mary Thompson - on her 80th birthday! Mary shows up with heart, humor, and a whole lot of energy every single week. We’re so grateful for her years of dedication and the joy she brings to our team!

Cupboard Garden Activity

Thirteen powerhouse volunteers from Dell knocked out a list that would make most people need a nap:

  • 18 trays (with 6-packs each!) prepped with potting mix, setting up for pepper seeding in late January.
  • Bridge repairs - the front end got some much-needed love.
  • A mountain of debris hauled everything to the landfill

This Dell team is always ambitious, always kind, and always a joy to have on site. We’re so grateful for their hard work.

Many thanks to the F3 team, which supports the Food Cupboard regularly with small construction projects around the building and grounds. Last month, they visited to bring financial support with donations matched by an anonymous donor! Thank you so much for all the support!

Garden Workdays Resume in February

The growing season is officially chilling out, so garden workdays are on pause. Garden workdays will resume in February 2026Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make our garden a big success this year!

Getting Help & Helping Out

Help by Donating Food or Funds

The generosity of the Holly Springs community enables the Cupboard to keep the doors open and shelves stocked. Host a food drive at your school, religious organization, business or civic group. Monetary donations allow the Food Cupboard to purchase fresh items and supplement food drive donations. Even the smallest donations make a difference. Thank you for considering helping.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and generous community for making everything we do possible.
