What makes me most proud is not only what we accomplished, but how we did it—rooted in dignity, language justice, and the belief that immigrants and refugees are leaders shaping the future of Louisiana. As we look ahead, the work remains urgent, but so does our hope.
As we wrap up the holiday season, our team is making a final year-end push to meet immediate community needs. Families are sheltering in place. Babies are running out of diapers. Utility bills are coming due for households already stretched thin by rising costs and instability.
If you are able, I invite you to consider a year-end gift to LORI’s Mutual Aid and Rapid Response Fund. Your support will help us provide emergency food, diapers, utility assistance, and other essentials to families who need help right now this winter.
From all of us at LORI, thank you for standing with our community—especially in moments when it mattered most. We are deeply grateful to be in this work together.
With gratitude and solidarity,
