Mission Support

Dear Rocky Mountain Synod,

This chart shows how the Rocky Mountain Synod’s 2026 Adopted Budget is allocated by Ministry area.  Over the last few weeks, I have received several inquiries about the way the budgeted funds are spent. A few things to point out about this chart:

  • The Synod’s total budget is $2.68 million
  • Mission Support is the main source of revenue to support this budget – 1.95 million (73%) The remaining funding comes from Fees, Event Registration and Grants
  • 42.5% of all mission support received from congregations is shared with ELCA Churchwide ($829,000)
  • An additional $272,000 is passed along to our ministry partners and ministry mission sites
  • Over 40% of what the Synod receives is shared with outside agencies and ministries

As always reach out with any questions you may have. Blessings to you and your loved ones this Advent and Christmas season.

In Christ,

Jon Johnson
