Pastor Trudy's Message
‘Do not fear, but trust.’ Jesus speaks these words to a father whose daughter is either very ill or has recently died (depending on who in the story is telling the truth). What was Jesus asking for him to trust- that she could be saved? That Jesus was already with her in a different way? More importantly, why does Jesus name fear, not heartbreak or sadness? Let’s ponder together this weekend.
Mighty God, You tell us not to fear, but to trust. Trust You in our heartbreak, in our sadness, in our joys and in our fears. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
