Dear Friends,

Thank you for being part of an unforgettable night at the Good Character Gala. Your support and presence made the evening truly special and created a powerful sense of community and purpose.

We were honored to celebrate Chief Jim McDonnell for his remarkable career in service to the people of Los Angeles and beyond. His leadership, humility, and commitment to building trust reflect the values that Scouting strives to nurture in every young person.

A heartfelt thank you to Wendy Burch for guiding the night with warmth and energy, and to the Scouts, Explorers, and the LAPD Cadet who set the tone from the very start. Their presence reminded us why this work matters and what good character looks like in action.

We were all moved by the stories shared during the program, including the resilience of youth and families affected by recent wildfires. Their courage and perseverance highlight the importance of ensuring young people have access to the support and opportunities that Scouting provides.

Thank you to our sponsors, guests, volunteers, and leadership who helped make the event possible. Because of you, more young people across Greater Los Angeles will experience mentorship, outdoor adventure, and the kind of life-shaping experiences that build character and confidence.
