This month we are featuring new Dethrone instructor,
Brazilain Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Tedd Stobie.
Q&A : DBC : How long have you been studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Tedd : 16 years
DBC : Where did you first start and who would you say helped influence your game?
Tedd : I started first believe it or not with a friend in a garage. lol But with in a year I was travelling up to Mountain View CA to train at Ralph Gracies academy, with Dave & Dan Camarillo and BJ Penn. I would say I've always taken a little from everyone. Doesn't matter who you're training with, you're constantly evolving and growing as a BJJ player. Always keep and open mind.
DBC : Talk about making the move the DBC Fresno and what excites you about the future of the program.
Tedd : I'm super excited to bring my program to Dethrone MMA. I feel it's the best MMA gym in the central valley. I see nothing but positives. My students that follow me here will have way more to choose from as far as disciplines. Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA and Fitness. Plus the facilities are top notch. My main goal now is to start building the competition team on the kids level as well as the adults. The great thing is that there was already an established program here with great BJJ players. I'm really excited about the competition practices on Saturday. We had 4 black belts in class and over 20 students already. I look forward to working with BJJ instructors Josh Koscheck, John Salter, Jason Kraft and David Gaxiola in growing the program.
