Planned Giving and the Legacy Society

We all like options, particularly when they make our lives easier. But, perhaps the idea of making a will isn’t one you want to address right now. You may not be ready to deal with a lawyer, deciding who might be the right executor or guardian for your child – or even your beloved pet.

There are easier ways to leave a bequest from your estate. For example, you can name Transfiguration’s Endowment Fund as a beneficiary to your 401K, IRA or other retirement fund. In addition, the Endowment Fund can be named as a beneficiary of an insurance policy. The Declaration of Intent in our Planned Giving packet supports these arrangements and can be adjusted or changed at any time.

We encourage you to join the Legacy Society as you commit to transfiguration’s present and future. Contact Linda Ayres for more information or to request a Planned Giving packet.

Children & Youth Illuminating The Word

We invite all children of the parish to join us on Wednesdays in Lent beginning March 1 to create our own version of The Saint John’s Bible. Children will use scripture to create their own beautiful art and illuminations. We will combine all our works in to one collection to share with the congregation and use during Children’s Chapel.

Our older Youth will engage in creating poems, devotions, and prayers based on Lenten readings from The Saint John’s Bible

Childcare will be available during our Wednesday evening activities but registration is needed so we can prepare.

For full details on all offerings for Children, Youth, and Adults and to register for Childcare visit our Lenten Page.
