Thank You to Our Community for Your Generosity and Caring!

Jajja's Kids is filled with gratitude for everyone who contributed to the success of our "Nurturing Dreams with Education" brunch on October 19 at Revolution Hall in Troy.

The event raised much needed funds to support the increasing educational costs of our young adults as they pursue their goals and dreams. The sense of community, generosity and caring by all who attended the brunch made for an enjoyable and uplifting time.

A highlight of the program was a video presentation of several Jajja's Kids being interviewed by Diane Reiner during her trip to Uganda in August.

Also shown was a presentation from Ronnie Sseruyange, Jajja's Kids Program Director in Africa as he unfortunately could not travel to the event. Ronnie and his staff have done an amazing job in supporting the Kids.

The maturity, eloquence and gratitude expressed by the Kids and Ronnie were truly heartwarming. The young people talked about their journeys from homeless street children to developing young adults planning their careers, and how Jajja's Kids has made it all possible.

Jajja's Kids staff, both in the USA and Africa, are impressed and proud of these young people for their tireless efforts and continuing successes. They work hard and clearly demonstrate the difference that can be made when someone is given an opportunity to change the trajectory of his or her life.

We are thankful to our community for making all that Jajja's Kids accomplishes possible through your ongoing generosity and caring!

Our thanks go to our donors and patrons who attended the brunch or gave donations to support it. Through your generosity, we will be funding needed educational materials and educational opportunities in the coming year, as well as new clothes, personal items and specific gifts the children requested for the holiday. Your support is the fuel that allows Jajja's Kids to serve its young people.

We also appreciate the efforts of Nora and staff at Revolution Hall for coordination of the event with Doug and Mary and for the delicious buffet and great service.
