Advancing Economic Security & Community Prosperity
EJ2022 attendees
Thank you
We couldn’t end the week without sharing gratitude for your support of Woodstock Institute and our mission to create an economy where everyone—especially people of color and residents in communities shut out for too long— can access financial services and resources they need to prosper.

It was wonderful to see so many friends and supporters Tuesday evening at the University Club for our 2022 Economic Justice awards.

Congratulations to our honorees, Illinois House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch and Advocate of the Year Award Sarah Brune, Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago Policy Director.

While Speaker Welch was unable to join us in person he was ably represented by state Rep. Kam Buckner and via a pre-recorded video.

Donations matched
to fund the mission

In another highlight of the evening, we received many generous contributions to fund Woodstock Institute’s mission, all of which were doubled, thanks to a dollar-for-dollar matching gift from Lending Club.

The Lending Club match has been extended through next Tuesday—so donations made via our website through next Tuesday, June 14 will be doubled.

Again thank you, and thanks to all who joined us Tuesday. We’re already planning for 2023, when Woodstock Institute will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
