The election results are in, and I want to thank all of you who voted in favor of Proposition S. Proposition S passed with overwhelming support from our community. It is indeed a great time to be in the Ray-Pec School District!
Also at the polls today, Deanna Olson was elected and Billy King was re-elected to serve three-year terms on the Ray-Pec School Board. Join me in congratulating them and thanking them in advance for their service to our school district. Both will be sworn into their terms at an April 19 board meeting.
Proposition S was designed from public input to meet our student enrollment challenges, provide additional student opportunities, and allow us to be good stewards of our current facilities. We look forward to starting to make Proposition S a reality! More information about the implementation of Proposition S will be shared soon.
A big thank you also goes out to a citizens committee that formed to provide additional information about the election. Their efforts to inform our community about the election were invaluable. Thank you for your time and effort!
