Celebrate National Doctors' Day - Thank You!
National Doctors' Day is a day celebrated to recognize the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities. In honor of this day, the FAFP would like to thank all of our Family Physicians who have dedicated their professional lives to providing quality care in Florida!
Make The Physician Decision
On this special day, the FAFP is pleased to announce the release of ThePhysicianDecision.com, a patient empowerment campaign designed to help educate on the importance of seeking a physician-led care team. Although the Florida Legislature approved Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to practice primary care independently in 2020, the FAFP has partnered with the Florida Medical Association to encourage patients to research and understand the differences in education and training between a physician (MD/DO) and advanced practice providers (APPs). Encourage patients to learn more and make the right decision - ThePhysicianDecision!
