Staff Recognized During Water Professionals Appreciation Week

As we celebrate Water Professionals Appreciation Week, we recognize the important role Marina Coast Water District employees play in providing safe and reliable water, wastewater collection, and conservation services for our District.

Now more than ever, with a hotter and drier climate interspersed with periods of extreme weather, we are proud of our water professionals who proactively serve the community through their careers in water.

Our essential workers maintain our infrastructure and provide quality services for the world's most important resource — water..

Thank you MCWD staff for your outstanding work in Water Resources & Conservation, Engineering, Operations & Maintenance, Finance, Administration, and Customer Service departments.

Please Water Less

In Cooler Weather

As fall season begins, peak landscape watering season ends.

It is time to reduce your watering frequency and duration, because shorter days and cooler weather do not evaporate moisture from your lawn as quickly as they do on longer, warmer days.

Gradually reduce watering to match your garden's needs.

We Are Here To Serve

Quality You Can Count One

The Marina Coast Water District serves the Marina and Ord Community with high-quality water you can count on. We are governed by a five-member board elected to four-year terms. The District invests about $37 million per year in capital facility improvements to ensure a reliable water system.

We are the largest public utility in Monterey County, centered on all the major water resources in the region, with a desalination plant, reclamation plant, aquifer storage, and recovery facilities within its boundaries, and extensive groundwater rights in its portfolio.

We are committed to working collaboratively with our urban and agricultural neighbors across the peninsula and in the Salinas Valley to sustain our shared groundwater basin at a reasonable cost for generations to come.
