Community Gathers to
"Strike Out Homelessness"

On Saturday, September 24, 32 teams of 160 bowlers, 18 sponsors, 25 volunteers, and several friends of the organization gathered at Holiday Bowl in Albuquerque with one goal: Strike Out Homelessness. The 4th Annual Strike Out Homelessness Bowl-A-Thon and Raffle had the biggest turn out to date and raised critical operational funds for SHC-NM. 75 area businesses  generously donated  items for the silent auction and 15 incredible raffle packages. Visits from Melody the Bunny from 99.5 Magic FM and the Albuquerque Isotopes' Orbit were featured guests at this family friendly event. SHC-NM would like to thank everyone who participated, sponsored, donated, purchased raffle tickets, and enjoyed themselves at our annual event. Please see below for a full listing of sponsors and donors. You can find all event photos at

SHC-NM Awarded Grants
Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico is proud to announce  recently awarded grants from the Sandia Foundation and PNM.

The Sandia Foundation awarded SHC-NM a grant of $9,050 to support our Service Coordination Program at Sunport Plaza Apartments. Service Coordinators connect residents at our properties with services they need to be successful in housing, services that include access to medical resources and psychiatric care, educational opportunities, and economic resources. The grant from Sandia Foundation will enable SHC-NM to continue this essential program, increase outreach to higher risk residents, and build on collaborative community efforts.

SHC-NM also received a $5,000 PNM Reduce Your Use Grant, awarded to agencies committed to energy efficiency. The grant will be used to upgrade lighting at three SHC-NM properties, replacing incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs in an effort to reduce operating costs and increase energy  efficiency.

Thank you for Striking Out Homelessness!
