Whew! Saturday, April 13 was the final 2024 Small Yet Mighty Winter Market, and we are just coming up for air to say thank you.
There is nothing better than finding fresh, local food in the middle of a New England winter, and it truly takes a community to make it happen. We are thankful for you, the community members who come each week, no matter the weather or busy schedules to bring home healthy, local food grown and crafted with care. We are grateful to the farmers and specialty food vendors who make our little market so vibrant and delicious and for their ongoing commitment to the LFM's customers.
The Waldorf School of Lexington continues to give the LFM vital support in support of food and farms. For the eighth year (out of nine!) they have graciously hosted the Small Yet Mighty Winter Market, ensuring equitable access to healthy food for all. No matter the weather or unexpected happenings, Paul Menz and the Waldorf staff made it all look seamless. We could not be more grateful for such a wonderful community partner.
It won't be long before the 20th season of the Lexington Farmers' Market opens in full summer market mode. Thanks for being part of our wonderful winter season - we can't wait to start it all up again at the end of May. Until then, support local and try out our latest spring recipe below. We'll see you soon!
