School Year Green Team
Thank you! Whether you attended the Glow Gala, sponsored the event, liked and shared invitations on Facebook, created EcoArt, donated raffle and silent auction items, or gave directly, you made this year's Glow Gala our biggest success to date!

Thank you!

It was a night of celebration. Celebration of good work done, challenges met, visions for tomorrow. Nearly 350 people helped us mark another year of Transforming Tomorrow both with their presence and their support

We were honored during the event by the generous participation in the night's paddle raise. This year was the 2nd  year where funds raised by the paddle raise go to the Sidell Impact Fund created to honor our dear friend Chet Sidell and his lifelong dedication to the City of Lawrence. The Sidell Impact Fund supports innovative ideas and programming to nimbly respond to community needs in real time, whether it's our work with the Bubble Girl at Buckley Transportation Center transformation, growing fresh produce at the Urban Farm at Costello, or our efforts with the continuing relief response.

And it's not too late. If you weren't able to join us this year, you can still be part of this amazing transformation! Donate right now and help us reach our goal of another $10,000.

A special thanks to our sponsors, especially the New Balance Foundation, IRWIN Engineers, Brady Sullivan Properties, and Merrimack Valley Credit Union.

Feaster Five This Thursday

This year, Groundwork Lawrence was selected as a charitable partner for the Feaster Five Thanksgiving Day Road Race. Held annually in Andover, the race regularly hosts nearly 10,000 participants. It's not too late to participate, and we hope to see you there! When you register, we hope you will also choose to donate to Groundwork Lawrence!

If you're running or volunteering, please remember it's going to be very cold. In deference to the temperature, the 5 mile and kids' run have been canceled.  Please check the website for more information and you can  register here.
In the spirit of the holiday, we hope you will celebrate a little Thankstaking. Please take our thanks for all your support and effort and time this season and beyond. You make our work possible. This has been a year of many challenges with many moments of awe and inspiration from the grace, resilience, and capacity for strength our friends and neighbors have demonstrated. Take some time for you, and we can't wait to reconnect after the holiday.
Check out our Calendar for upcoming workshops and volunteer opportunities.
