2022 Summer Conference
The SCAPA Board of Directors and Staff want to thank you for attending the 2022 SCAPA Summer Conference in Charleston! It is always so good to spend quality time with our members and we enjoyed seeing all of you.

The Charleston Place Hotel provided a beautiful backdrop for our event and welcomed us all with wonderful southern hospitality.

The event started for the Board of Directors on Thursday, June 23rd with the Annual Board Member Dinner. Followed by the Board of Directors meeting on Friday morning.

Welcome Reception
We kicked off the SCAPA Summer Conference with our annual Welcome Reception held at the Historic Riviera Theater across the street from The Charleston Place Hotel.
A lucky winner will be returning to The Charleston Place Hotel after winning a two-night stay. SCAPA Members were encouraged to have dinner on their own and join us back at the Hospitality Suite that evening.
Business Program
SCAPA Members met early Saturday morning for the SCAPA Business Program, which included updates from SCDOT, SCAPA, NAPA and Lobby SC provided a legislative update.
Distinguished Service Awards
 SCAPA took the opportunity to honor some distinguished guests including long-time board members, Richard Jackson with CR Jackson, and Scott Fant with Reeves Construction (formerly Sloan). They were both honored with Distinguished Service Awards for their dedication and commitment to SCAPA and the asphalt industry.
Perpetual Pavement Award
SCDOT was on hand to receive the Asphalt Pavement Alliance's Perpetual Pavement Award (PPA). The award was presented by SCAPA Staff, Jayson Jordan and Kimberly Lyons and Board President, Jason Edmonds. The recipients on hand to receive the award were Cliff Selkinghaus, Eric Carroll and Chris Kelly.

This is the 10th PPA awarded to the SCDOT since the program began.
Excursions
SCAPA Golf Tournament
Saturday Afternoon 16 golfers participated in the SCAPA Golf Tournament just across the harbor at Patriot Points Links Course. The four teams had a wonderful view of the Ravenel bridge as they golfed.
Candle Making Class
Some Attendees decided to join in on the candle-making class at Candlefish, in Charleston. Each participant learned about the candle-making process and were able to make two candles with the scent of their choice.
Casino Night
What a night! SCAPA members really got into Casino Night as they gambled (with play money), danced, ate, drank, and mingled. The 360 video booth and the Photo Booth were hits of the evening. You can find links to all these videos and pictures in the links below.
