Thank you for being part of the 2026 TMC Arizona Distance Classic!

Whether you did the Half Marathon, the Quarter Marathon, or the 5K . . . and whether you were in front of the pack, at the back of the pack, or hanging out with our partners and sponsors . . . we're grateful for your participation in this beautiful sport of ours!

Hello to the 1,107 registrants for the 2026 TMC Arizona Distance Classic. We had a great time this past weekend and we hope that you did too!

Read on for more post-race information:

  • Race results and finisher video clips
  • How to pick up awards and remaining shirts
  • Where to find race photos
  • Speedsters
  • Sponsor acknowledgement
  • Volunteer "thank you"
  • St. Luke's Home fundraising
  • Next up on our running event calendars

NEXT YEAR: Next year's event will be held on March 7, 2027 or March 14, 2027.

We're waiting for Town of Oro Valley approval for our proposed date, but we've already opened registration for next year's TMC AZDC. As a way to thank you for doing the event this year, you can use the discount code "AZDC2026Reward" for an additional $10 off the current early-bird pricing through the end of March. You can register here.

Survey: If you could spare just a couple of minutes (really, just several minutes!), we would love for you to complete a short Participant Survey to help us know what we did well and what we can keep working on for next year.

And if we missed anything or if you have any other comments or questions about the event, contact Race Director Randy Accetta at randy@runtucson.net.

RESULTS: Check out the race results page here: see your time, download a finisher's certificate, and watch a video clip of you going through the finish line!

AWARDS: If you earned an award but didn't pick it up at the (easy-peasey, fun-filled) Awards Ceremony, you can head to The Running Shop at 3055 North Campbell Avenue to pick it up through the end of March, 2026.

Not sure what the award categories are? Check out this page.

MISSED THE RACE? If you're local and missed the event you can still pick up your race shirt at The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell Avenue. Shirt sizes remaining currently include unisex Medium, Large, XL, and XXL. If you have not worn your shirt and want to swap sizes, swing by The Running Shop and see what sizes are left that fit better. (Unfortunately, we cannot mail race items.)

For social media, you can tag @runsar, @tucsonmedicalcenter and @runtucson -- we're trying to bring more people to vacation in Tucson, so feel free to tag @OVTourism and @theovchamber.

And be sure you follow the TMC AZDC on Facebook so you stay up to date with the latest announcements and plans for next year.

With three races, there was some great running from top speedsters and age group podium placers. Remember to watch the finish line videos on the SAR results page.

5K: Last year's half-marathon winner Spencer Kirsteatter dipped down to the 5K to set a new course record in a speedy 15:41. Stephanie Pierce set a new women's course record with her winning time of 18:16, continuing her recent regional win streak. Both Spencer and Stephanie run for the Tucson Track Club.

Quarter Marathon: Abner Castro ran 39:49 to take the overall victory, while Tracksmith's Kendall Accetta came all the way from Boston to snag the first overall female prize in new course record 39:57, good for second place overall.

Half Marathon: Local standout Jose Delgado took the victory in the Half Marathon in 1:12:30. Claire Hans continued her hot streak with the win in a time of 1:31:48. Both Jose and Claire run for The Workout Group.

Chair Duo: The two Chair Duo teams included first place Luke Senner and Michelle Nolen from Tucson, representing Team Hoyt.

Thank you to TMC Health for being the title sponsor for this event.

In addition to the TMCOne location on La Cañada, we look forward to helping support TMC Health as they provide even more services in more locations for the greater Oro Valley community. See https://www.tmcaz.com for details on health care in Southern Arizona.

Thanks to FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center, Ridgway Private Wealth and RightSure Insurance Group for providing additional financial support, and thanks to Lucas Tyler and the crew at The Running Shop for all the effort.

Thanks, too, to Natural Grocers, Celsius Energy Drinks, Sport Clips, and Encompass Healthcare for your race day presence.

Thanks to Clint and Angela at Starlight DeeJays for the great race announcing and all the support!

Special thanks to everyone who helped produce this event, including the folks who helped set the course, clean up afterwards, hang banners, hand out water, direct runners on the route, and hand out numbers and shirts at packet pickup:

Thanks to the entire SAR Board of Directors and to the Board and Staff of St. Luke's Home.

The SAR Board Sub-Committee collectively spent over 150 hours on this event: Dave Dixon, Caroline Gardiner, Craig McCarthy, Robert Rezetko, Lucas Tyler, Greg Wenneborg. As a SAR Board member and active St. Luke's Home advocate, Robert was especially instrumental in bringing this event together!

And last but not least, very many thanks to Race Director Randy Accetta of Run Tucson for partnering with us to continue this great event!

Thanks to Flowing Wells HS Track and Field for handing out medals, cheering, and being so helpful at the race!

THANKS TO ALL WHO DONATED!

The mission of St. Luke’s Home is to provide enriching, affordable care and support for residents ensuring their well-being and participation in an assisted living community.

St. Luke’s Home has long been part of the Southern Arizona Roadrunners community and we’re grateful to them for all they do for the region. Learn more here.

From Abele to Zink, we're grateful to these folks for directly donating a collective $2,612 to St. Luke's Home. SAR will contribute an additional amount from net proceeds, so we anticipate this race raising upwards of $10,000 for St. Luke's Home this year.

Thank you, Cheyenne, for your enthusiasm and generosity in singlehandedly raising $250 for St. Luke’s Home and supporting the low-income seniors who live there.
