Hello Cleves neighbors,
I hope you’re receiving—and reading—This Week in the Village! One of the biggest reasons I ran for Mayor was to strengthen communication between our Village Council and the citizens we serve.
While we’d love to send more updates by mail, it simply isn’t cost-effective. That’s why we share a weekly overview to keep you informed in a concise, readable format.
But if you’re looking for more frequent updates, I invite you to follow the Cleves Mayor’s Facebook Page, where I post daily news, alerts, and behind-the-scenes updates. Use this link, and join my page. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61566764824408
Not on Facebook? No problem! We also send out email updates and regularly refresh the Special Announcements section on our Village website.
And for those who want to dive deeper, we make current and past Council meetings available online—so you can stay informed at your convenience.
Additionally, you will receive periodic updates to keep you informed and engaged. On Wednesday, we’ll share more details about Thursday’s Taylor Homecoming Parade, along with a report highlighting our two-year journey to visibly demonstrate that pride and effective governance are being restored in the Village of Cleves.
One of the most visible reflections of that pride is US 50—our front door to the community. Its condition shapes first impressions and reflects how much we care, not just as a government, but as citizens. When brush overgrowth blocks the bike lanes, it’s more than a safety hazard—it signals neglect and erodes the sense of heritage we’ve worked so hard to protect. A well-maintained gateway shows that we value our history, welcome our visitors, and take pride in the place we call home.
Thank you for being an engaged part of our community. Your voice matters, and together, we’re building a stronger Cleves!
