Dear friends & supporters:

THANK YOU! As the Times-Picayune said about last week's results: we demolished our opponent. Winning 66% of the vote to 26% and 9% (third candidate), or winning by 40 points, was a slam dunk. House District 91 told the Democratic establishment and my fatally flawed, unethical, opportunist opponent that they wanted no part of either. We caught every attack and threw it back even harder.

Voters don't want to be told what to do; they tell us what to do.

Fox8 interviewing me at our Election Night party

Forever thanks to my campaign manager Alex. I could not have dreamed of a better manager. They lead our HUGE team of interns and volunteers, and by 8pm Election Day we had knocked 24,000 doors and attempted 40,000 phone calls. We spent money on outreach, not consultants. And it worked!

Although we won, the Louisiana State Democratic Party lost almost everywhere. The negligent chair and indifferent Democratic leadership did not help our gubernatorial candidate, did not recruit down ballot, and had no GOTV operations on Election Day. None. I spoke about it locally, but this election is also making national news - especially the election of far right Attorney General Jeff Landry. Many of us are making plans to turn this ship around. If you'd like to know more about Democratic politics in Louisiana, Lynda Woolard's Louisiana Lefty podcast is a great start.

I spoke with Fox8 about what happened with my election and statewide elections.

Clancy Dubos' annual Winnas & Loozas covered the gory details of this election

My friend Dustin Granger made the runoff for state treasurer. He is a great guy with a good chance of winning. Please help Dustin out with money or time, and come out and meet him when he's in New Orleans.

As I have noted before, campaigns are expensive, and I do have campaign debt from prior campaign cycles. I would really appreciate it if you'd help me retire some of it. The cost of campaigns, as well as the personal cost, are often significant. Thank you.
