Community workshop coming this fall!
Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback and questions on the draft recommendations for the East Area Plan at the May community workshop, neighborhood group meetings throughout the summer, the recent drop-in office hours, and on our online surveys. Over the next few weeks, city planners will be going through the almost 2,000 comments received! Another community workshop to go over the feedback and discuss revisions to the draft recommendations will be scheduled this fall. Stay tuned for details.

Keep an eye on this newsletter for information on upcoming opportunities to share your thoughts. We also encourage you to share the plan website -- Denvergov.org/EastPlan -- with any neighbors or friends who are not familiar with the plan and would like to learn more.

NOTE: There is currently no meeting scheduled for August.
About the East Area Plan
The East Planning Area neighborhoods—South Park Hill, Montclair, Hale, and East Colfax—contain many great community assets, including historic parkways, the Rose Medical Center, Johnson and Wales University, and many unique, locally-owned businesses. The area is experiencing some significant changes, such as the 9th and Colorado mixed use project, as well as plans to add Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) along Colfax Avenue. Two of the four neighborhoods, South Park Hill and East Colfax, have out of date plans, while Hale and Montclair have no plans at all.

The Neighborhood Planning Initiative provides a great opportunity to establish the community’s vision for maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in these neighborhoods for decades to come.
