With your help, 2022 was one of the most impactful years in our foundation's history.

Our hope is that you will continue on with us as we work collaboratively to fund less toxic therapies for children with cancer in order to give them the best quality of life as they battle the disease. We know in our hearts that it is these less toxic therapies that will ultimately lead to cures and a better quality of life as our survivors grow into adulthood.

Research Grants

Thanks to your generous support this year, Arms Wide Open has funded and

co-funded over $850,000 in research grants to top researchers throughout the country. Since our inception we have funded over 110 research grants. We are thankful for like-minded partners, foundations, individuals, corporations, and small businesses who have helped to make this possible!

12th Annual Shave for a Cure

Held in the historic Edison Ballroom in NYC, the 2022 Shave for a Cure fundraiser was a huge success. Individual donors and corporate sponsors stepped up to make this year's event one of the most successful to date. Special thanks to our corporate sponsors, individual donors, and our shavees!

CureFest events held in 50 US states and 71 countries!

In 2022, CureFest for Childhood Cancer expanded its reach with an

in-person event in Washington, DC and a virtual event held in 71 countries. In addition, CureFest weekend was live-streamed to over 43,000 viewers from around the world.

2022 Hope & Healing Bereavement Retreats

Your support helps make possible the annual Hope & Healing Bereavement Retreats for families who have lost a child to cancer.

In 2022, we hosted retreats in the Southwest and Rocky Mountains along with our partners from the Bald Beauties Project, Courtney's Courage, and Tough2gether. Through our retreats we were able to serve 38 grieving families this year.

Family Support Program

Family support requests surged during the last three years due to COVID-19. With your support, we were able to expand our Family Support Grant Program. Over the years, we have been able to provide over $1,400,000 in grants to families suffering hardship due to their child's cancer diagnosis. This year alone we have served over 285 families.
