Dear TC Family,
A gorgeous autumn day, amazing volunteers, and a fun, lively atmosphere among a SOLD OUT course of golfers made for a truly amazing day at TPC Tampa Bay for the annual DiMaggio Memorial Golf Classic!
On Friday, October 23, we had the privilege of gathering as a community to celebrate the life and memory of a man who defined Crusader Pride and is an instrumental piece of TC's athletic legacy, Coach Nick DiMaggio. Because of you, the entire day was filled with sportsmanship, generosity, and excitement.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, this year’s DiMaggio Memorial Classic raised $115,000 in support of Tampa Catholic athletics; $82,000 of which was raised through Green & White Sponsorships secured by TC athletic teams. Your giving provides opportunities to student-athletes to achieve excellence and ensures that Coach DiMaggio’s impact lives on for generations to come.
I want to express our deepest appreciation to the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff whose dedication to living the mission with enthusiasm made this event such a success. This community thrives because of each individual's shared commitment to giving the best to our students.
A special thank you to our Classic Sponsor, Golf Cart Superstore, on behalf of Jeff Thomas P’20, Consultative Board Member, and to TPC Tampa Bay for their outstanding partnership and hospitality. To view all of this year’s generous sponsors, please visit our event program.
We must also extend our gratitude to Courtney Frisch, Director of Constituent Relations & Special Events, whose professionalism and expertise make the DiMaggio Tournament the greatest golf outing in Tampa Bay! This was her ninth tournament with Tampa Catholic, and because of her, it runs smoothly year after year.
We invite you to relive the camaraderie of the day by visiting our photo gallery.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for honoring Coach DiMaggio’s legacy and helping make this year’s Classic one that will be remembered through the support it brought to student-athletes. This special tradition is building a future that will bolster excellence at every opportunity.
Until next October, we will be praying for you and thanking our Lord for the blessings each member of the Crusader Family brings!
Veritas et Caritas,
