THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD

Dear Pet Prescription Team Family,

The final numbers are in, and together 136 donors gave $28,220 during this year’s Big Roundup. Our goal was $30,000, so we finished just $1,780 short. We were so close, and while we would have loved to cross that finish line, what I feel most today is gratitude.

More than any other year, this fundraiser reminded me of The Little Engine That Could. We kept climbing. Volunteers reached out to friends and family, supporters shared our stories, donors gave what they could, and together we kept saying, I think we can. And when I look at what all of you accomplished, I believe we did. Maybe we didn’t reach the exact number written at the top of the page, but we came together as one organization, one family, and one mission, and that means more than any number ever could.

Every gift you make becomes something real. It may place another Faith Dog into the arms of a child battling cancer or serious illness. It may help us create another comforting space through There’s No Place Like Home. It may help one of our therapy teams walk through the doors of a hospital, a special-needs program, a senior community, a school, or even a jail, bringing comfort to someone who may be lonely, frightened, hurting, or simply in need of a little kindness. When you give to Pet Prescription Team, you are not simply supporting an organization. You are helping us reach another human being.

To every donor, volunteer, friend, family member, and supporter who shared our fundraiser, told someone about us, prayed for us, encouraged us, or contributed financially, please know how deeply grateful we are. You are part of every visit, every Faith Dog, every room we transform, and every heart our teams are able to touch. This work continues because people like you believe it matters.

And although the Big Roundup has officially ended, the need does not. If you weren’t able to give during the fundraiser but still wanted to, or if Pet Prescription Team touches your heart sometime during the year, donations are always gratefully accepted. We have included our donation link here:

There is never a wrong time to help us continue Healing Hearts Through Pets.

From all of us at Pet Prescription Team, thank you for believing in this mission and for helping our little engine keep climbing. The fundraiser may be over, but the mission goes on.

Thank you for supporting our vision and allowing us to serve the community and make a difference for those who need it most.

With gratitude,

Krystal Emery
