Thank you from 148 Ministries!

Thank you to our corporate sponsors, attendees, volunteers and auction bidders who participated in our 2026 "An Evening of Hope" event. We heard some incredible stories of recovery from Erica & Bryant. The team updates are overwhelming to learn that 30 148 Ministries team members host 7 regular programs for 5 different organizations in central and southern Indiana!

Below are a few pictures that help capture the moment of the evening!

About 148 Ministries

In 2017, 148 Ministries was formed in the silence after wreckage.

The goal was simple. Look for others in their own wreckage, sit in the silence, and point to the grace whizzing by without regard to whose fault it all was.

Since then, 148 Ministries has gathered like-minded wrecks… other people willing to walk into the devastated stillness of lives in ruin and point out where the grace is. And now, every month approx. 30 volunteers walk into 7 different programs without knowing many details and they simply do what is required. Pray, sit, eat, move… and sometimes jump rope. They form the part of recovery that is brave enough to hold eye contact with deep shame. They pull from their own memories of desolation and speak to a future that is something other than the rubble all around. They let the grace hit them square in the face and speak hope to the hopeless.

It is the wreckage we look for because it’s the wrecked who need to know that the love of God has no basement where he keeps the screw-ups. The ones who have run their lives up on jagged rocks learn something no one else does…that grace has indiscriminate aim. Reclaimed wreckage receives a gift without heavy strings. There is no pretense, nothing earned for good behavior. No lies told where, “good things happen to good people.”

148 Ministries has simple goals. Dig through the wreckage and let whoever you find there know they are worth sitting with. Praying with. Eating with. And maybe they could also try to jump rope again…like the kid they were before they wrecked everything.

Simple goals; Like loving without asking whose fault it all is and allowing the shrapnel of grace to cut through the wreckage.

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
