IT'S FRIDAY!

We had a great week last week in Louisville and we really enjoy being able to see customers and talk with them about how we can help. I do not know the final attendance numbers of the show but there was not a lack of people on any day of the farm show. Mother Nature has given us a few tastes of warmer spring weather which of course brings mud, slush and ice.
April 15th is only 53 days away, to put that into perspective the New Year was only 53 Days ago!

Have a great weekend!

Cassie's Country Cupboard Weekly Recipe:

French Toast Dippers

The Menchhofer family is busy with maple syrup season 2019, so all things breakfast are on the menu this month! These crispy French Toast Dippers also freeze well after you bake them.

French Toast Dippers

Ingredients:

4-5 slices white bread
3 c. crispy rice cereal
1 T. sugar
¾ tsp. ground cinnamon
3 eggs
½ c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
2 T. butter, melted
Pure maple syrup

Directions:

Cut each bread slice crosswise into 4 sticks using a pizza cutter. Place bread on a cooling rack for about 20 minutes to dry out slightly.
Preheat oven to 425. Place cereal in a resealable plastic bag and crush to fine crumbs with a rolling pin. Pour crumbs into a pie plate and add sugar and cinnamon.
Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and salt in a large bowl.
Dip 1 bread stick at a time into egg mixture and then roll in crumb mixture. Place in a 9x13 pan (I recommend a stoneware dish).
Slowly pour butter over bread sticks. Bake 17-19 minutes or until hot and crispy. Serve with syrup.
