RIDE FOR CHARITY


How it works:


The riders competing at the GPE are divided into teams. Each team represents a participating charitable organization. At the end of the competition, the top 3 finishing teams earn a prize check for their respective charity. Participating organizations also provide volunteers at the event and are encouraged to promote their causes throughout the weekend!


In Addition:


At the 2021 GPE, we introduced the Ride for Charity Online Popular Vote. You, the fans, for $5/vote, can vote for your favorite teams. 100% of the proceeds go directly back to the charitable organizations! General Admission tickets can still be bought online. By purchasing your tickets in advance, spectators get access to the exclusive $25 Full Event Pass offer! The Full Event Pass grants access to both days of competition, Friday, March 3rd & Saturday, March 4th. Single day passes can also be purchased ahead of time online. Single day passes ONLY will be offered at the gate for $25/per day CASH OR CHECK ONLY.


With the construction of our new arenas, Saturday spectators should anticipate overflow parking at the Powderhouse Polo Field for $10 per car, CASH OR CHECK ONLY. Parking at Bruce's Field will be first come first served. All parking proceeds will go towards the Aiken Polo Club, a 501 (c) 3 charitable institution.

An Eventing “Showcase” is a unique version of Eventing competition that condenses the traditional country-side Eventing environment into a spectator friendly venue. The showcase format allows the general public the chance to be up close and personal, right next to the galloping lanes and massive fences, and experience the thrilling sport of Eventing in a whole new way. This equestrian triathlon presents a prime opportunity for top eventing riders to kick start their competition season, and to welcome the public to an exciting fast-paced equestrian event

AHPF PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

In order to protect the business of our official show photographers, the AHPF has established this photography policy. In this social media, smart phone, day and age, capturing and sharing images from events has never been easier. We want to encourage all our guests at Bruce’s Field to fully enjoy their experiences here and treasure the special memories for generations to come. However it is still extremely important that we protect and respect the contracted show photographers that make their livelihoods providing high quality, professional images for our exhibitors.


The following guidelines are expected to be abided by ALL visitors to Bruce’s Field.


  • Visitors, spectators and exhibitors at Bruce’s Field are permitted to take photographs and record video for personal use only
  • Only our official appointed event photographers are allowed to take competitor images and sell them to the public
  • No other individual or company has permission to take images of multiple competitors and sell them to members of the public or publish online/on social media
  • Professional photography equipment, including, but not limited to, cameras with lenses longer than 4 inches, tripods, monopods, or any video camera mounted on a tripod or other stabilizing device are not permitted under any circumstances
  • Media representatives with approved credentials are the only exception
  • “Private” photographers must go through the proper channels for approval to be on premises PER EVENT. Please contact kate@aikenhorsepark.org for further details. 


Any individual found in violation of these guidelines will be asked to leave the premises and could be subject to bans from future Bruce’s Field events.

CANNAHORSE LEGENDS SERIES

There's so much happening in Aiken!


The first in a series of clinics, The Legends Series. CannaHorse and Aiken Saddlery present Olympians William Fox-Pitt and Jay Hayes at The Vista in Aiken, South Carolina on March 5th, 6th, and 7th.


On the heels of the $50,000 Aiken Grand Prix Eventing at Bruce's Field, William and Jay will conduct eventing and jumping clinics on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.


William will be conducting both jumping and cross country clinics. Sunday will feature a morning of show jumping for eventers and an afternoon of cross country. Monday will be exclusively cross country at varying levels, while Tuesday will be focused on jumping.


Jay will be teaching groups of riders divided by height throughout each day in both the all weather and Derby jumping rings.

50% of audit fees will go to support the Aiken Horse Park Foundation's Annie Goodwin Rising Star Fund.


The Annie Goodwin Rising Star Fund supports Aiken’s young equestrians who embody Annie’s character and dedication to their respective sports.
