Memorial Day Weekend on the Water
Over Memorial Day weekend, nearly 50 U.S. Navy sailors and 50 Scouts came together for a memorable day of kayaking and dragon boat canoeing. It was the perfect mix of adventure and camaraderie, giving sailors a chance to unwind and Scouts the opportunity to connect with active-duty service members.
A special thank you to the Port of Los Angeles for their generous community grant, which funded the purchase of our new EZ Dock floating dock and kayak launcher system. This incredible addition is expandable, movable, and will serve our waterfront programs for years to come.
We’re also grateful to Downtown San Pedro, LA Fleet Week, and the LA Harbor Dragon Boat Club for their support in making this unforgettable experience possible.
