Gratitude, Growth & Finals Grind

The air’s a little crisper, the sweaters a little thicker, and the to-do list… somehow longer. November’s here, and it’s bringing both comfort and chaos.

Between wrapping up projects and prepping for finals, don’t forget to slow down. Light a candle. Sip something warm. Let yourself enjoy the small things that make this time of year so good.

Because no matter how packed your schedule feels, you’re doing great.

You’re learning. You’re growing. And you’re making it through! Here’s to finishing strong!

Get Ready for Finals!

The STEM and Writing Tutoring Centers are here to help you prepare for your finals. Stop by and get assistance on your assignments or learn new study tips.

The Library is also hosting a fall Workshop Series on topics like research and the ethical use of AI.

Vikings Fall Into Service

Come together with the college community to make a positive impact, celebrate helping others, and foster a commitment to volunteering! Join us for Vikings Day of Service on November 21, with volunteer opportunities available all day across Clay, Putnam, and St. Johns counties.

Postseason-Bound!

The Lady Vikings wrapped up the regular season and are now headed to the FCSAA DII Volleyball Championship in Fort Pierce, November 7 & 8. Their first match is Friday, November 7 at 4 p.m.

Study Abroad in May 2026

Student Support Ombuds

Hunger shouldn’t be part of the college experience, and thanks to the Viking Exchange, our campus food pantry, it doesn’t have to be.

We’re working hard to keep our shelves full for every student. Help us keep the pantry stocked by scanning the QR code. Responses are anonymous.

Take care of your mind with free support! SJR State students have access to BetterMynd, a free mental health counseling resource. Services include:

  • Limited individual virtual counseling sessions - Students must meet with an Ombuds first to access these sessions.
  • Unlimited live workshops - No Ombuds meeting required. Visit bettermynd.com to join.
  • 24/7 crisis support - Call the hotline any time, day or night.

BetterMynd makes it easy to get support when you need it, whether you want to attend a workshop, speak with a counselor, or access help during a crisis.

We want to hear from YOU!

Tell us how we can better meet the workforce needs in our communities.
