Think of a holiday song. Any one of them. What does it bring to mind? Perhaps it is a special tradition, sharing a delicious meal, or maybe even a raucous snowball fight. Whatever it is, it’s the sense of togetherness that make this time of year so special.



Our families feel the impact of connection all year, surrounded by peers, volunteers and staff who are invested in their wellbeing.

We also feel this sense of togetherness, this community, with the many hundreds, even thousands, of people who support the work we do alongside our families every year.


  • Our donors and grantors. Whether it is grantors like the Charles C. Anderson Sr. and Marie Jo Anderson Foundation, who have helped us expand our evaluation strategies, or donors like you, who allow us to offer our program at full-capacity year after year, we are so thankful for your belief in ending family homelessness.


  • Everyone who has contributed to bring our ADC Family Campus to life. This build takes the collective effort of so many who believe generational change is possible.
  • Special thanks to building partners Dekker/Perich/Sabatini LTD, Tierra West LLC, and ECOterra Design-Build for their work and vision for this sustainable campus.
  • We are also so grateful to community partners like the Albuquerque West Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, whose donations will create welcoming homes and a rich learning environment for new families.

  • Our amazing volunteers. Over 700 people from groups, churches, clubs and more have given 4,000 hours of their time so far in 2023 to make our campus a stable place to grow and dream.


  • Businesses and community partners who make everyday life for our families brighter and easier. Just to name a few…
  • Christian Brothers Automotive, who offer car maintenance assistance for current and alumni families.
  • American Home Furnishings has donated $50,000 worth of mattresses to Saranam since 2012 to ensure everyone has the dignity of a new bed.
  • Assistance League of New Mexico’s phenomenal initiative to offer new shoes to all of the kids in our program.


The togetherness we have in meeting our mission brings to mind a quote by Maya Angelou: people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Families will never forget the care they know here. Thank you for bringing that feeling of community to them.

Giving Home for the Holidays


We all know the best gifts don't fit under the tree. How about giving a gift that gives back?


This holiday season, make a donation in honor of someone special in your life, or put Saranam on your wishlist, and give hope to families experiencing homelessness. If you donate before December 15, we will send a special note and gift from us right to their front door.

'Tis the Season to be Jolly


Want to make the holidays bright for our families? We have lots of ways to spread holiday cheer!


  • Give the gift of giving. Donate gift-cards so parents can get that special something for their kids. Walmart is a preferred store.



  • Share your gently used holiday décor with Saranam.
  • We need small Christmas trees 3-5', ornaments, wreaths and small indoor decorations. Decorations can be dropped off at our Eubank offices Mon-Thurs 11:30am-3pm before Nov 30th. If you need pickup assistance for a boxed 3-5' Christmas tree, please TEXT (505)362-6283 to schedule an appointment. 
  • Don’t have any you are done with? You can donate some from our Walmart Wishlist.

A Group Effort


Last month was a whirlwind of learning and service! We have been so lucky to have the help of several groups that brought the energy of community action to us.

Essential Student Skills


Going back to school is a requirement for every adult in our program, but it’s not easy. To set them up for success, we practice skills and habits that will prepare them for their coursework.


In their first semester, they learn essentials like:

  • Notetaking methods that make studying easier and more organized;
  • Tips to for time and stress management so they can increase their information retention and reduce test anxiety, and;
  • Practice using a growth mindset so they can remember they are infinitely capable of learning and adapting.


Whatever their background, our goal is that they will enter school confident that education is not only something they can excel in, but a joy they pass along to their kids.

Giving Tuesday



How can we make a difference in a world that is so full of needs? It’s simple- one person at a time.


All it takes is one person to start a domino effect of caring. Giving Tuesday is the perfect time to be the person to inspire that action.


Giving can come in so many forms. Try one of these on November 28th and join this global day of action.


  • Give care: Send a holiday note to our families with your good wishes for the year
  •  Give attention: Spread the word about why you believe in what we do
  • Give time: Plan for a new year’s resolution to get involved as a volunteer
  • Give support: Donate in-kind services, gently used household goods, holiday items, or money to help us provide what families need.


Whatever you choose, thank you for choosing to make a difference!

Furniture Donation Update



We once again have storage space available for the larger furniture items that adorn our apartments.
