Thank You, Sophie!
Friend,

I wanted to take a moment to thank our outgoing Political Director, Sophie Hansen, for all of her hard work and dedication she has brought to this position. Sophie's last day at NASW-MA will be Friday, June 21st. Her experience as a clinical social worker brought a very important perspective to the policy issues for which we advocate. Her tenacity and passion also significantly boosted NASW-MA's presence at the State House.

Thanks to Sophie's tireless work, we had two incredibly successful LEAD events in 2018 and 2019. We have increased the membership of our Legislative Advocacy and PACE committees. And we have forged new territory hosting workshops on how social workers can become politically engaged, in addition to so many other achievements for which Sophie has been responsible.

I know you will join me in wishing Sophie the best of luck as she embarks on a new journey pursuing her personal passion of behavioral health in health policy as a program analyst. Though she will no longer be a member of our staff, she will remain an active member, especially via the Legislative Advocacy Committee and PACE!

If you'd like to stay in touch, Sophie has offered her LinkedIn as a platform to do so.

Sincerely,

Rebekah
