AUGUST 2022: AGENCY HIGHLIGHTS

178 BACKPACKS!!!

Thank you to our generous community donors who supported the Back-to-School Drive. We were able to pass out back-to-school supply kits and backpacks to 178 clients. Special SHOUT-OUT to National Charity League, The Bridge Church, Agient Security Consultants, Exxon, The Woodlands Christian Church & The Wehner Family.

We cannot accomplish our mission and operate our agency without the help of our dedicated community and volunteers. These caring individuals give from their hearts as they assist us with a myriad of activities. Please enjoy some of the highlights from this month.

YOU ARE INVITED!

JOIN US OCTOBER 7TH FOR THE 9TH ANNUAL OPEN YOUR PURSE FOR CHANGE LUNCHEON!

“When I first toured the shelter, I realized many of the women had to flee a very dangerous situation, often leaving their purse behind as they left in the middle of the night with nothing but their children to seek safety." - Ally Seder, Event Co-Chair,

It’s amazing how a simple purse can bring about so much inspiration and power. We are excited for you to join us at the event this year!

ADOPT-A-MEAL

Adopt-A-Meal: Cook or Sponsor a Meal for our Shelter Residents! Our shelter only has a cook Monday – Friday, so Montgomery County Women’s Center relies on the support of volunteer groups to provide weekend meals to shelter residents. If your family, corporation, or civic group would like to cook and serve a meal or drop off/cater a meal from a local restaurant for our shelter, consider “Adopting-a-Meal“!

DONATION DRIVE

Halloween Donation Drive – we are collecting trick-or-treat buckets, candy, costumes, and more for our shelter and transitional housing families. Donations can be dropped at 1401 Airport Rd, Conroe, TX 77301.
