Vicar Aaron's Message
Picture this: Jesus has just arrived in Jerusalem and speaks with the chief priests and elders. Gathered outside the temple, the temple authorities listen to Jesus and interpret his parables as veiled threats against them – they leave nervously, fearful of the message, whispering about how best to get rid of Jesus. Did they have room in their hearts to accept Jesus’ challenging parables? Do we?
Spacious God, You give us room to grow and change. Help us face challenges with courage as we prepare ourselves for Your abundant life and love. Amen.

- Loving God, You came in the person of Jesus not to be served, but to serve others. Help us set aside our desire for greatness, our anger toward others, self-indulgent appetites, and false judgments that we might love our neighbors as ourselves.
- Encourage those who lead and those who follow to work cooperatively with one another toward common goals, that all might have life and have it abundantly. Give us courage for difficult conversations that help us to see and patience with others who see things differently.
- Enfold in Your loving arms all who are living with chronic or terminal illness, addiction, mental health challenges, or grief, especially those we carry in our hearts. Show us how best to love and support those in our families or communities who suffer as we move through the seasons of our lives; with new plans, more or less time, new abilities and new limits. Help us to see the many ways in which scripture has been used to marginalize those living with disabilities, that we might be intentional about welcoming and affirming every single child of God as they are.

Dear GLC Family,
After 5 rounds of chemo, surgery, 2 stem cell transplants and 12 sessions of radiation, LEIF IS CANCER FREE! He will do immunotherapy for 6 months and complete treatment this summer!
We could not have made it through these last 10 months without our GLC family! You have helped carry us through the most challenging and frightening times. Your prayers, texts, emails, cards, meals, gifts and beautiful chalk artwork meant the world to us and we will be forever grateful!
We look forward to seeing you all soon!
Much Love,
The Abrahamson Family
