Thank you for making the trip to Great Falls, Montana for the first-ever IEDC Rural Retreat. Those packed agendas didn't leave much for "independent study" of our fair city. Maybe you're staying after the conference (just like we suggested) or maybe you've got plans for a return trip; We've curated a list of things you might have done, should have done, or could do. It matters not to us which is which, we just want to see you again soon friends!

IEDC RURAL RETREAT WELCOME RECEPTION AFTERPARTY MOVIES

We heard ya loud and clear. Some of us aren't night owls and others wanted to see all the movies we showed. So, here you go!

We showed Class C: The Only Game in Town which follows five Montana Girls Basketball Teams on their quest for the State Championship. During the Rural Retreat we went to many of these towns where Basketball is cornerstone to the community’s culture. Share it with friends & family.

We screened Feisty Women of Montana, which pays tribute to five incredible Great Falls women who broke barriers, persevered, and took the reins to make things happen. This is also a great one to share with everyone you know.

The final film was Save Your.Town that detailed the Idea Friendly Method that will help you take action now, whatever your role, to make a difference in your community. This video, along with all the other valuable resources, requires a small contribution to gain access, and is completely worth it.

THE TEAM GREAT FALLS, MT JERSY

You saw them all through the IEDC Annual Convention in Denver last year and at the first-ever rural retreat! Now, you have the opportunity to join the Great Falls, Montana team and order your Great Falls, MT Jersey today! We're a frugal bunch here, so to buy a jersey, you have to buy a ticket . . . a ticket to awesomeness!

WHAT YOU MISSED, WHAT YOU DID, WHAT YOU COULD DO

Some say we might have too much to do in Great Falls, Montana. We'd agree with them. Here is THE list of some of the big stuff. The Tourism Team is ready to help you plan whatever it might be you are looking for. We just learned of a new opportunity some of you asked for - horseback trail rides! We've even got some great events to plan your next trip around- we suggest Western Art Week (March 18-22, 2026) or The Greatest Dam Mimosa Showdown (May 16, 2026). Although, you're an adult and you can make your own choies.

AND TRAVEL SAFE.

We're Shannon and Rebecca, the stars of your favorite podcast, We're No Dam Experts, and the team at Great Falls Montana Tourism doing everything we can think of to get you to experience our amazing town. Great Falls is 2.5 hours south of the East Entrance to Glacier National Park, we are 3.5 hours North of the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. In Montana time - that's close! Montana's Basecamp gives you access to 53 miles of trail, 11 museums, 5 state parks, 3 rivers, 2 wilderness areas, and 1 wildlife refuge. Honestly, what else will it take to get you here? Free gifts? Alright.
