Annual Book Sale/Community Garden
Flenniken Public library has several volunteer opportunities including the Annual Book Sale (beginning May 17th through June 17th). They need help maintaining the sale and organization of the donated books. Or, if you would like to enjoy some sunshine, you can help in the new Community Garden. For more information contact Nicole Mitchell at director@flenniken.org or 724-966-5263.
Volunteer Spotlight:
Sandy Whetsell
Sandy Whetsell has been volunteering with Greene County United Way since 2019. She first began as a community member participant on our Community Impact Fund Grant Committee, selecting programs and services that make the biggest impacts in our community.

After her time on the grant committee, Sandy volunteered at the 18th Annual Stuff the Bus, assisting families with registration and helping children select their favorite backpacks.
Since then, Sandy has volunteered for almost every United Way event offered. She joined the Board of Directors in 2021 and most recently became a part of our Executive Board.

Thank you, Sandy, for your hard work and dedication to Greene County United Way. Our events wouldn't be the same without you!
