STUDY W/ YOUNG CLERGY-WOMEN

GET TOGETHER AT LAST

WHO FOR HORIZON TX BY MONDAY

DBC GOES BEYOND!

STAY INVOLVED LIKE LOU!

Happy Juneteenth! June 19th has been commemorated, primarily by Black Americans, with prayer events, families gathered around large meals and parades and festivals. Just three years ago Juneteenth became a federal holiday because of the perseverance of Opal Lee, a Black woman from Ft. Worth. Thank you, Opal! You inspire us! However, the struggle for equality and justice for everyone continues. Inequity persists. Let us all vow to resist evil, injustice and oppression wherever we encounter it. That's love in action and we can all make a difference.

Wendy Campbell, President, NTC United Women in Faith

SOUTH CENTRAL JURISDICTION

We're packing our bags! We're going to GET TOGETHER with United Women in Faith from across eight states for the quadrennial UWFaith Jurisdiction event in St. Louis this weekend. We'll be electing new national Directors, attending workshops, learning from each other, and celebrating United Women in Faith!

Each of the 12 conferences will bring a quilt block to create a quilt that represents our diversity bound with tradition. Member and skilled quilter, Sheila McLaughlin, created our NTC 12" quilt block. She is a long-time involved member of Walnut Hill and the Bold Women of Lovers Lane.

Thank you, Sheila!

HAPPY & HEALTHY MOMS, BABIES & COMMUNITY

Abide in square-white

2024 Mission Project:

ABIDE WOMEN'S HEALTH SERVICES

We chose Abide for our '24 Mission Project because it is improving the disparities in maternal health here in our North Texas community.

Ways you and your group can participate:

  • Learn about Abide's mission, midwives and happy families with resources on our 2024 Mission Project webpage with your small group or on your own at home this summer.
  • Help provide what Abide needs by shopping online or locally
  • Create hand-made Baby Items

Your support will help Abide reach more families and improve birth outcomes right here in the DFW area. Plan to bring items to Mission u for collection.
