Thanks to the actions YOU have taken the past few weeks, we are celebrating some important advocacy wins for individuals who rely on Medicaid for health insurance. Thanks to your advocacy: TennCare is pausing terminations for both Medicaid and CoverKids for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency. TennCare has submitted an 1135 waiver to CMS requesting additional flexibility. Uninsured Individuals do not have to pay for COVID-19 testing. THCC's Board of Directors have thanked Governor Lee for his work and issued this open letter outlining additional steps needed to maximize existing coverage and expand coverage to uninsured. Will You Keep Advocating for the Uninsured? Your state legislator and Governor Lee need to hear from you about the importance for all Tennesseans to have access to affordable health coverage. Please send a message to your legislator asking they finally Expand Medicaid to 300,000 uninsured Tennesseans at no cost to the state of Tennessee.
