On behalf of the Board of Trustees of BioNJ, I am writing to thank the 514 women and men who made our 18th Annual Dinner Meeting, Awards Program and Networking Event an unqualified success.
It was a hearty group that braved the snow and cold weather on January 27 to help us set new attendance records at the Hilton East Brunswick and demonstrate once again the spirit and commitment of New Jersey's biotechnology community to advancing the industry in our State. There was electricity in the air.
Watch for photos and footage from the gala event in the near future, but in the meantime, here are a few highlights.
John Crowley, the Chairman and CEO of Amicus Therapeutics and the recipient of the 2011 Dr. Sol J. Barer Award for Vision, Innovation and Leadership was inspiring in his keynote address. Please CLICK HERE to view the Dr. Sol J. Barer Award video that was presented at the meeting. John's full speech will be shared shortly.
While the Honorable Robert Menendez, champion of the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project, could not be with us because of his duties in Washington, we invite you to CLICK HERE to see the video of the Senator's message.
And none of this would have been possible without our Sponsors (CLICK HERE for full Sponsor list) and our Annual Meeting Volunteer Committee (CLICK HERE for Committee list) co-chaired by Michael Becker of MD Becker Partners LLC and Jordan Warshafsky of Ashton Tweed, Inc.
Our thanks again to everyone, and please stay tuned for more highlights.
In closing the meeting, our new Board Chairman, Sol. J. Barer, Ph.D., Chairman of Celgene Corporation, set a clear course for the biotechnology industry and BioNJ in the year ahead. We look forward to working with you as we travel that course together.
As always, please remember that the BioNJ team is at your service. Let us know how we can be of help to you.
Yours in BioNJ,
