Teamwork and collaboration is the theme for this month. Community Tennis Associations working with local government to build and improve courts and Kentucky's major tennis stakeholders participating in the Kentucky Tennis Summit. All to grow tennis in Kentucky.
The city of Paducah and the Paducah Tennis Association celebrated resurfaced courts, improved drainage, bleachers, paved parking and restroom facilities. Thanks to Jane Gamble for leading this investment in the tennis community.
USTA Southern announced the selection of seven young tennis players as state winners of the 2020 USTA Foundation NJTL Essay Contest. Congratulations to Kansas Perry of the Rising Stars Program in Louisville.
This USTA event will be held November 14th at Top Seed in Lexington. High school juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of college coaches in Kentucky and the surrounding region. Players will also have the opportunity for a short meet and greet with coaches. There are a limited number of spots available. Register soon!
Congrats to sixth grader Audrina Schaefer, sophomore Gracie Koch (pictured), freshman Ellie Hammond (pictured) and junior James Chen on being named to the Lotto Elite Hot 100. This is a monthly list used for recruiting purposes. Play strong Kentucky juniors!

BUILD IT FORWARD GRANT
USTA Southern has opened registration for grant applications for the Build It Forward initiative. $500K has been made available to build or reconstruct tennis courts. There is no deadline, as funds will be available until exhausted.
