ICS mobile food pantry on Ina this Saturday, 4/17
Interfaith Community Services' mobile food pantry will be giving away produce from the ICS food bank this Saturday, April 17, from 6:30 to 8 a.m. The address is 2820 W. Ina Rd.
Since November 2020, ICS has helped 4,812 households by handing out 519,857 pounds of food.

Work to start
at Miracle Mile
this Sunday, 4/18
Construction on Miracle Mile, part of the Oracle Road project, is expected to begin this coming Sunday, April 18, according to a release from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
For approximately 10 weeks, contractor Granite Construction will be working on the south side of Miracle Mile between I-10 and State Route 77, Oracle Road.
Work will include removal of old concrete, new concrete curb and gutter, new driveway entrances on select driveways, and new sidewalk in some areas. Paving will occur at a later date, the release said.
Motorists traveling on Miracle Mile will see intermittent lane closures. Most work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Registration is required; visit the COVID-19 vaccine information page at this address to do so.
Current points of distribution are Banner-South Kino Stadium, Tucson Medical Center, Tucson Convention Center, El Pueblo Center, and the state-operated vaccination center at the University of Arizona.
On the website, guests will find registration links, locations, hours and vaccine types at each place.
On-site registration is also available at a few locations, with possible same-day appointments dependent on vaccine availability. Those include the TCC, 260 S. Church Ave., 8-a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

deadline to 5/31
The federal Small Business Administration has formally announced an extension for applications to receive second-round Paycheck Protection Program forgivable loans.
PPP loans are now available through May 31.
“Second draw” loans are made to eligible borrowers who can qualify for full loan forgiveness if their employee numbers and compensation levels are consistent with “first draw” PPP loans, and proceeds are spent on payroll costs and other eligible expenses.
