Thank you to our 2015 Beyond Toxics members, donors, advisors, board of directors, business supporters and volunteers.
There are too many people to thank to be able to list them all, but here's a start!
Thank you to the courageous people of Cedar Valley who gave their time and heartfelt and poignant testimony during the legislative session in Salem for the chance for a better future for Oregon. And thank you to the
thoughtful legislators who listened and gave your steadfast support for our efforts.
Thank you to the leaders of the four organizations who helped us put on a watershed environmental justice conference in Medford this Fall, "
Justice for the Land and the Worker": NW Forest Worker Center, Oregon Action, PCUN, and Unete. And thanks to the courageous workers who stepped forward to speak about the injustice they face in Oregon's forests, fields and workplaces.
Thank you for the creative and generous support of green businesses such as
Mountain Rose Herbs
! Their support through events and causes such as the "Night of Bliss" and "Pollinator Tea" generated more than $13,000 to support Beyond Toxics' determined work to protect Oregon's environment.
Thank you to the
many business sponsors and hard working board members and volunteers who helped us put on two
BIG celebration events this year: The
Bee Jubilee in Portland this past Spring and our 2nd Annual
Bee Jazzy Festival in August at Silvan Ridge Winery near Eugene.
Thank you to the
FOUR new board members
who just joined our fight for a clean and just Oregon (listed below)...
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, especially our Fall interns, Inara Fernandez and Natalie Hardwicke, both University of Oregon students who quickly became valued contributors to our work!
Special thanks to long-time board member
Carla Hervert who has, for years, generously (and without hesitation) donated her amazing photography to us. (See the
beautiful banner photos in the past 2 emails!)
And thanks, of course, to you, our kind and generous supporters who have been with us fighting for environmental health and a brighter future. You have shown us--time and again--
how much you value our work and our approach of effective grassroots organizing.
