November Pests - Roof Rats and Mice? 

The Roof Rat is an introduced species of rat native to southern Asia.  

It was brought to America on the first ships to reach the New World and has spread around the world.  This rat is the same species that carried the bubonic plague around the world and is also the reservoir host for murine typhus.  Roof Rats are the worst rodent pest in the State of Florida and most abundant....

German Roaches - Fed Up?
 The German Roach is the most common household insect pest found in the United States. They are usually found infesting in food preparation areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.   In severe infestations, they have the capability of living in any portion of a heated structure. 

They favor warm, humid atmospheres where temperatures are around 70 to 75 degrees. The German Roach is most active at night and hides in secluded areas such as cupboards, behind cabinets, wall voids, and motor housings of appliances.

The adult German Roach is about ½ inch long, brown, and has two dark longitudinal bands or streaks on the top the thorax (just behind the head). German Roaches are regularly carried from place to place in such things as bagged potatoes, onion bags, beverage cartons, grocery bags, handbags, and in the folds of clothing. . .....

I was born and raised in Connecticut for 19 years.
While in high school at Plainville High School in Plainville, Connecticut I got emotionally involved in performing and playing music.

I moved to Florida because my music career wasn't developing in Connecticut. I have an 8 year old son named Julian. His mother wanted to call him Christian until I reminded her that his name would be Christian Church. No, that would not be good. I got into the pest control industry 6 years ago.

Two years ago I joined Collier Pest Control and things have been on the ups since. I got state certified in general household pest control, wood destroying insects, and fumigation.... .
