Live by the Spirit, Walk by the Spirit
A Time to Give Thanks
During this season of Thanksgiving, I cannot help but reflect on all that we have to be thankful for at Holy Cross Academy. Our cornucopia of blessings starts with our strong foundation in our Catholic faith, which unites us as a school community. We are supported by Father Mosimann, Father Kelly, Father Folmar, and Father Koehr and the entire parish at St. Mary's. We have the best group of faculty and staff members I've worked with in my career, dedicated to your children's topnotch education and continuing to be lifelong learners themselves! We also have a dedicated and enthusiastic PTO--just read more about their commitment to our school below! I've seen a commitment by all parents in preparing our students for success each day. Finally, I'm grateful to our students for their respect, energy, and hard work each day. Our cup of blessings truly runs over at HCA! It is a joy to be a part of Holy Cross Academy.

I pray that all HCA families enjoy a safe and joyous Thanksgiving Break. As we return in December, we know if will be a busy three weeks as we approach the celebration of our Lord's birth and the many events and festivities that come with the Christmas season. Now is the perfect time, hopefully, surrounded by friends and family, to take a few deep breaths and reflect on how truly blessed we are and all the reasons we have to be thankful.
Giving Tuesday, Tuesday December 3
I'd like to ask HCA families to consider a tax deductible donation to our school on Giving Tuesday. At 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3rd, a link will be emailed to all HCA families allowing for online donations to our school. Of course, cash or check donations will be accepted in the school office that day, as well. Please help spread word to family members, alumni, and parishioners who may be interested in supporting our school.

The first priority for this fundraiser is to purchase an electric curtain divider for Fr. Brisson Hall. Our secondary goal is to purchase a set of retractable basketball goals for the far end of Fr. Brisson Hall. The cost for each of these initiatives is around $15,000. HCA will purchase these items as soon as the funds have been raised.

Up to $5,000 Donation from HCA's PTO!
I'm excited to announce that Holy Cross Academy's PTO is offering a matching gift of up to $5,000 to help launch our fundraising initiative on Giving Tuesday (December 3rd). If we receive $5,000 or more in donations from generous supporters, our PTO will make the full $5,000 donation.

In case you missed it...link to my parent letter from 11.22.2019 . This letter describes in more detail upcoming enhancements to our campus.

HCA Event at Barnes and Noble December 8
There are only 27 shopping days left until Christmas! A great way to prepare for your holiday events, celebrations, and gift giving is through the  Barnes and Noble s p onsored HCA fundraising event December 8, 2019 . Please come out and join us!

As always, events like this cannot be done without our families' support! If you love greeting folks, wrapping gifts, or helping children complete a craft, please volunteer an hour or so of your time. Per our agreement with Barnes and Noble, adult supervision is required for the wrapping and craft areas. Children can be included but must be supervised. Thanks for supporting our school.

Don't forget, Barnes and Noble gift cards are offered through the SCRIP program. Teachers have provided wish lists that will be displayed at the store the day of the sale.  Share the Voucher Number 12557542 with your friends and family and invite them to come out and see our children perform!
