LANDSCAPE CARE: In our landscaping care section, we received the highest marks in turf care and seasonal color. We also saw a significant increase in our score for irrigation management, which has been a major focus for us over the past several years. We’re thrilled to see that improvement reflected in the feedback. Conversely, we received lower marks in shrub care and weed control. These have been consistent areas of concern, and we are actively working to improve them.
IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT: With the ever-increasing cost of water and the critical need to protect our valuable water resources, water management has become a key component of our service and an area of focused development. As part of this effort, we have partnered with Weathermatic to provide remoter access and weather-based irrigation systems. Starting in 2024, we enhanced our standard service program by adding remote access controllers to most properties. We believe this investment will improve water management and lead to long-term cost savings for our customers. We also continue to promote customer to upgrade to weather-based control by installing a weather station to their system. This saves on average 20-30% from manually programmed controllers.
Additionally, we are offering a variety of water conservation recommendations to our clients, including:
- Lawn conversion
- Conversion to pressure-regulated sprinklers
- Drip irrigation
- Coverage improvements
SHRUB CARE: Feedback indicates that we need to increase the frequency of our pruning. While we are committed to addressing this, more pruning requires additional labor, which impacts maintenance costs. To balance this, we are focusing on enhancement projects that propose plants with lower maintenance needs. Many traditional shrubs in existing landscapes grow quickly and naturally exceed the spaces where they are planted. Over time, we aim to replace these with slower-growing varieties that have lower mature heights.
WEED CONTROL: Managing weeds remains a significant challenge, especially with growing concerns about chemical use. We are committed to reducing herbicide use and have adopted environmentally friendly products wherever possible. However, given the feedback on weed control, we recognize that low-impact herbicides are still necessary to achieve effective results.
