Dear College of Engineering Alumni:

In this season of giving thanks, I wanted to reach out not only to remind you how grateful we are to have you as members of our Dragoneer network, but to highlight in particular how much we appreciate the significant growth of alumni partnerships over this last year.

Some of you joined us for last month’s State of the College, and I was so glad to see you there. In case you missed it, our alumni have contributed to a variety of academic-industry initiatives this year, most notably sharing their time and ideas through our Alumni Industry Board and our new Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Alumni Advisory Board. Of course, many of you also give back through co-op opportunities, mentoring relationships, and gifts – all of which enable us to keep moving ahead and carrying out our mission.

To have you connect with us in these ways and more reminds me of just how lucky we are to have you as part of our engineering family. As you gather with friends and family later this week to celebrate traditions new and old, know that here on campus we continue to celebrate you. We remain incredibly grateful for you, and look forward to the many connections we have yet to make.

With Thanksgiving wishes,
Sharon L. Walker, PhD
Dean, College of Engineering
