Adopt-A-Family Gift Wrap
Monday, December 16, 2019 | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Every year our generous club members help make the holidays a little brighter for multiple local families. This year we are adding another family to our list. We will be adopting seven families!
Join us December 16 for the gift wrapping party which begins at 6 pm.
As always, gift wrapping will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, 1220 1st Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ

John O'Gorman has agreed to match Adopt a Family donations given at the November 20th Club meeting in Bradley Beach.
He will donate up to $400 provided our club members make donations of that amount or more.

Running In The New Year
A JSRC Tradition

This year’s running in of the New Year will
be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. just before it gets dark and we will run (or walk) this flat two-mile course on the Manasquan Beach Walk and a few local streets.

Don’t worry, this is a SAFE and happy,
celebratory fun run with course marshals
at selected locations.

All pre-registered participants receive
a Tech Tee-Shirt and a free buffet at
Leggett’s Sand Bar. 

Tee shirts for post registrants are only

Registration for RunAPalooza, half marathon, relay and 5k is open. This is the Jersey Shore Running Clubs biggest race each year.

5-Mile Eagle Trail Run and 2-Mile Turkey Group Run January 11, 2020 | 10:17 a.m.
The location is a secret mystery wooded area near North Brunswick/East Brunswick/South Brunswick. For registered participants, an email will be sent with the secret start location.
This race offers many POTENTIAL EXCITING DANGERS & CHALLENGES ( see flier for detailed list )
$20 gains you entry. Free skull items for Pre-registered. $25.69 by mail with flier. $30.00 DAY OF EVENT. 
Volunteers are free and receive free beer and goodies. 
Please bring a canned food donation for St. Matthews Edison Food Bank.

Post Run Party will be held at a secret location to be emailed to all pre-registrants. A fun time is guaranteed! You must be over 21 years old to participate. No times are recorded. A sense a humor is a must. Prizes & giveaways at the post race social. You don’t even need to run to participate.

This is our northernmost group run. The run starts and finishes on the Long Branch boardwalk. We meet on the south end of the boardwalk and do a 4-6 mile run along the boardwalk and around Lake Takanassee passing the Dr. George Sheehan Memorial. Come join the cool kids every week!

We meet by the flag pole. We typically head out south and run through Bradley Beach, Avon, Belmar and Spring Lake and then back to Ocean Grove. Sometimes we head into Asbury Park. Join us and run anywhere from 3-10 miles with a great group. If you show up on the right night, the group picture might be clear enough to prove you were there. 
Rise 'n' Shine

"Rise 'n Shine" is geared toward runners who like to get up and get their run done before starting their work day. This group meets every Thursday around 6:00 a.m. on the boardwalk in Belmar, near Dunkin Donuts. Both members and non-members are invited to join in on the run. Come and see the sunrise!

The Thursday group run starts in either Belmar or Asbury Park depending on the time of year. We currently meet at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. We usually run 4-6 miles on the well-lit boardwalk which is a very safe place to run. Occasionally some will extend the run for 8 miles. We have a steady group comprising all paces & experience levels. All paces are welcome.
We usually go out to dinner afterward, so bring your appetite as well!

Bodman Park at Clubhouse
Navesink River Road, Middletown

Meet at the Middletown Little League Clubhouse Market Street, Middletown. Groups run from 6 to 22 miles mostly on trails through Hartshorne Woods Park, Huber Woods and surrounding areas. There are plenty of hills— a perfect run for marathon training. There are water stops and refreshments at the end. There is also an opportunity to walk on Sunday mornings. The distance is six miles and start time is variable. 
We need people to help with this long-standing group run.

  We start on the boardwalk right by the flag pole. We typically head out south on the boardwalk and run through Bradley Beach, Avon, Belmar and Spring Lake and then back to Ocean Grove. Sometimes we head north into Asbury Park. Join us and run anywhere from 3-10 miles with the great group of regulars. When its marathon training season, don't be surprised if runners are getting in between 12 and 20 miles. If you show up late, you will likely start in Wave 2.
