Thanksgiving Day is the day
When the family all does meet.
To share their lives with each other
As that great big turkey they eat.
A time to give thanks for another year
And all that has taken place.
The blessings and the sorrows we've had
As through our lives we race.
We take for granted so many things
Both big as well as small.
Ears to hear, eyes to see,
The autumn leaves as they fall.
Blessed we are and so grateful
To live in this land of the free.
Free to move, to go and do,
Having friends to go and see.
Thanksgiving Day is a day set apart
For us to look at our life a-new.
To be grateful and thankful for all that we have
For we are very blessed - that's true.
