Molly Moon's X SDT

Celebrate the end of the school year with Spectrum and the Molly Moon's crew for an afternoon of games, tasty ice cream, and dance! We'll be at the University Village Green (in front of the Apple Store) on June 17. We hope you'll groove with us on the green from 3-4:30P, but make sure you stay until 6P to capture all of the family-friendly events!

Our fingers are crossed that we'll be met with nice weather, but if it begins to rain the event will be canceled. However, we hope you'll still visit our friends at Molly Moon's to welcome the summer season and get a scoop of your favorite ice cream.

The SDT Company wraps up their first full season back to live performances with two new premiere works, Love Is...Iteration #7 and Grief.

Crosscut - Black Arts Legacies

DONALD BYRD WORKSHOP/COMPANY AUDITIONS

REGISTRATION is open for the 2022 Donald Byrd Workshop/Company Audition!

This workshop is for pre-professional and professional dancers ages 14 & up and will consist of a 2-hour technique class followed by 2.5 hours of process/repertory. Technique class focuses on Mr. Byrd’s movement aesthetics by emphasizing a relaxed, strong, flexible torso, highly articulated lower body, and spatial exactness.

The company audition process will be changing this upcoming season. The audition process will happen throughout the Donald Byrd Workshop for those interested. By taking the workshop, you will be considered for a position with the professional company.

*To be considered for the professional company, dancers must be 18+ . Though capacity may increase, IN-PERSON spots are limited.

A return to the stage was the best way to end the 21/22 school year! Congratulations to all of our hard-working students, resilient graduating seniors, and all of our dancers experiencing the All School Demonstration for the first time!
