Parents, Caregivers, and Campers! Thank you for an awesome camp season! Here's a breakdown of this summer's numbers:

That's a great community of people all touched by type 1 diabetes! We're so glad you played a role at Gales Creek Camp this year!

In case you missed it, Gales Creek Camp makes a video collage of every week of camp. We show these to campers on their last day of camp as a way of cementing the memories, but we also know parents and caregivers love seeing what their camper's week was like. So all the videos are posted online here .

Looking for campers to share their experience
Gales Creek Camp has many amazing supporters, and one of our biggest champions is the Lions Club--or we should say the many, many small clubs that make up the Lions Clubs International . We receive support from clubs across the Northwest in the form of camperships, general funding, ride-sharing, camp cleanup, and so much more.

Now we have a chance to share the impact of diabetes camping with Lions from across the continent at the Lions International USA/Canada Forum being held in Portland this September.

They've invited GCC to participate in a forum on diabetes camping. Specifically, they are looking for a camper (or two) who might be able to talk to Lions members about what camp means to someone growing up with the challenge of type 1.

The forum will be held on September 21 at 3:30 in downtown Portland . Please let us know if your camper would like to share his or her story!
Did you lose something?
There's no doubt camp is an exhilarating time for everyone. In fact, it's so intense people sometimes forget themselves--and their stuff. Did your camper lose something this summer? If so, check out the pictures below and see if you can find it. If you spot something that's yours, let us know and we can mail it to you in a flat rate box (sorry you pay shipping) or you can stop by the office and pick it up (for free!).
